We had heard recently that FOX would be recasting the roles of Storm, Jean Grey, and Cyclops for the upcoming film X-Men: Apocalypse. The movie is set to take place during the 80's which means these characters will be teenagers and not full grown adults as we've seen previously with Halle Berry, Famke Janssen, and James Marsden. Today, director, Bryan Singer tweeted out this little nugget, giving us a new set of actors...

We are totally living in the Golden Age of television. Now now, I know people will argue that, but seriously…we are. Coming up with the top 10 of 2014 seemed easy, but it wasn’t for me at all. There is so much great television that I am harassed daily because I haven’t watched a particular show. I have FX’s Tyrant on my DVR still awaiting a watch. CW’s The 100 is anxiously awaiting a play and the guys on this particular website are at me to get Arrow started. There is seriously not enough time in the day for all of the great T.V. So here I go. My top 10 of 2014 and a few honorable mentions…

News broke today that Marvel has finally chosen the Sorcerer Supreme. Varietyreports that Benedict Cumberbatch has been cast as Doctor Strange for his upcoming solo film directed by Scott Derrickson with the script written by Jon Spaihts.
The film that will follow Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in the newly created DC Cinematic Universe is not a Batman solo film, not a Wonder Woman solo film, its not even an Aquaman solo film. No, the first film we'll get after the fallout of Batman v Superman is David Ayer's Suicide Squad. Some may balk at the confidence in such a move when building such a large cinematic universe, but not me. I'm excited to see Task Force X on the big screen and I think it'll do very well if treated in the right way. I love Harley Quinn, and her merry band of villains doing Amanda Waller's dirty work under threat of imminent death.
Back in September we got the news that a Supergirl show was given a full series order from CBS and that the man behind Arrow and The Flash, Greg Berlanti and Chuck and No Ordinary Family producer Ali Adler would be running things. The premise is rumored to focus on Superman's cousin, Kara Zor-El, as she begins to use her powers that she'd been hiding for years. Now The Wrap is reporting that casting has begun and that Claire Holt best known as Rebekah on The Vampire Diaries and The Originals is up for the title role.
According to Deadline, we've got our first casting news for the upcoming The Walking Dead companion series. Frank Dillane and Alycia Debnam-Carey are the first to join the cast. The series is rumored to take place in the same zombie apocalypse as its predecessor but the location and time it will take place has yet to be announced. Dillane is best known for playing Tom Riddle Jr. in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Debnam-Carey was recently seen in the found footage disaster film Into the Storm with former Walking Dead star Sarah Wayne Callies.
